8th & Roast

"I’m a sucker for coffee shops that house make their syrups, so I knew I needed to stop by 8th and Roast and check them out. We tried the lovers lane, an iced latte, and a sausage biscuit. While I enjoyed the coffees, I do wish the iced drinks had had a stronger coffee flavor, instead they were a bit watery and underwhelming. Because I’ve only been once, this could have just been an off day, and I look forward to trying the coffee here again. The sausage biscuit was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised by subtle sweetness that the biscuit offered and would definitely order this again. The shop itself is spacious, with ample seating perfect for various group sizes."

"Convenient, central location right on 8th Ave South with plenty of neighborhood parking out front. Industrial-chic decor with beautiful exposed brick walls and warm wood accents. Great mix of vibrant hanging plants and potted greenery adding life to the room. Solid, upbeat playlist keeping the background atmosphere energetic and productive. Ample indoor table options and a great little outdoor patio counter setup to watch the street."

"Great vibe, absolutely fabulous staff (they were 5 stars BEFORE I spilled my latte everywhere and they helped me clean it up with a smile and made me a fresh latte!). The bacon egg and cheese croissant was great too! If I ever go back, the cinnamon rolls looked amazing…"
